WAHandles ("we", "us") operates a marketplace and escrow service for WhatsApp usernames. This page describes what information we collect, how it's used, and your choices. This policy is maintained by the WAHandles team and is not an independent certification.

Information we collect

• Account data — email, display name, avatar URL, and the OAuth provider you sign in with.
• Listing data — the WhatsApp username you list, asking price, category, and verification code.
• Messages — chat content between buyer and seller, plus system events posted by the escrow workflow.
• Escrow & payments — payment status, transaction IDs, and amounts returned by our payment processor (NOWPayments). We do not store crypto wallet private keys.

How we use it

• Operate the marketplace: list, search, message, and complete escrow.
• Verify listing ownership via the WhatsApp "About" code.
• Resolve disputes — escrow agents and admins can read messages on an escrow they are reviewing.
• Detect fraud and abuse.

Sharing

We share data only with vetted infrastructure providers: our hosting and database provider, our authentication provider, and our crypto payment processor. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Account, listing, and escrow records are kept while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time; some records (completed escrows, payment receipts) may be retained for legal and accounting reasons.

Your rights

You can update your profile in Account settings, sign out of every device, or request export/deletion by emailing privacy@wahandles.app.

Cookies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies are set.
